Filmed at a few of my favorite southern locations. My version of this classic song includes ukulele, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass guitar, organ, harmonica, shaker, bass drum, kazoo, and clap. Hope you enjoy!
I would just like everyone to who has voted and showed my son support that I am very appreciative. I would also like those who have chosen to accuse him of cheating and have said derogatory things toward him that this greatly upsets me and could not be further from the truth. I could not be more proud of my son's character and his faith. He is honest and compassionate in his life as well as his musical ventures. I love you Sawyer, good luck!!!!
I have to agree with Day.... marketing a friends video with Michael Jackson and Rhiana in the actual title is pretty sad... How many contests like this have you guys won ?

The judges will likely agree that Sawyer will be in the final round. At least technically, they really should. I mean think about it: if there're judging 50% on talent and 50% on creativity, then there's no way he wouldn't unless the judges are both blind and deaf. :) which, I guess, isn't impossible.

No, I'm not on YouTube.....I'm not that kind of person. :) I will admit, if you're lookin' for some good-old-fashioned fun, do learn "barn" (square) dancing. Or line dancing. Or swing dancing. It's fun, but not really something I think would be posted on youtube.

Yes, the votes matter. They count as 40% of the points to determine the top 5 contestants, and the judges votes count for 60%. So this round of voting is just to determine the top five contestents and then, during the second round, more community and judge voting to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. So, yeah, we'll be allowed to vote during the second community voting round.
Yeah, the documentary is already complete and is currently airing on PBS. No, it's not an annual competition. :(
So does that mean the votes don't totally matter? Plus, what si this thing about the second round of votings? Will we be allowed to vote again in about a week after the judges round? Will we then be voting among the top five?
Plus, is the documentary already completed? Is it in DVDs, stores, Youtube, or on this website, or on PBS, or somewhere on TV, or at a toll-free 1-800 number?

In answer to your first question, I'm voting for the people who I think are good, and don't have the votes that they should have. Perhaps you're not aware that you can vote once, per entry, per day. Also, concerning the judges, according to the rules, they will vote 50% on talent and 50% on creativity (not on public votes). The real purpose to cummunity judging is to get people to visit the website to promote the documentary...and above all, for us to have fun!! :)

Hey guys - Sawyer here. I really appreciate those of you on here that are supportive of the music that is exhibited in this competition by all of the musicians that have taken the time to enter. There truly is a lot of talent here. I am just now reading all the comments posted over the last day and I am saddened. By no means has anything "against the rules" been done here in regards to getting votes goes. I have wonderful friends and family who are behind me and have promoted me with a lot of effort. I am also in no way currently closely tied to anyone who has been commenting on this video. Joey:In answer to your first question, I'm voting for the people who I think are good, and don't have the votes that they should have. Perhaps you're not aware that you can vote once, per entry, per day. Also, concerning the judges, according to the rules, they will vote 50% on talent and 50% on creativity (not on public votes). The real purpose to cummunity judging is to get people to visit the website to promote the documentary...and above all, for us to have fun!! :)

Mustang Mikki, why are you voting for Sawyer Frye? Isn't he your competition? Well, tht is kind of cute I guess. I would vote for you but bros before girls. But why do you have three entries, three videos? That gives you around 3,600 combined votes already divided among your three songs. Does that mean you are going to win? I know it is up to the judges, but won't the votes persuade the judges to go for you? I am going to repost this on one your videos because I want to make sure you read this. You seem to be hovering over the comments and I am sure you will shortly find this one.
I have been silent until now, however, I would like to comment to you! First, you and the readers should be aware that I do not know you or Joey.
The truth of this matter seems to have been missed by many who may not have been following the various comments from the beginning. My observations are that Joey's comments were initially witty, becoming constant, and then ultimately annoying. However, he never was derogatory, defamatory, or ugly.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of you and a few other females who responded to him. You became hateful and ugly over statements that you did not agree with, while provoking a fight! Your comments were even more immature and irritating than Joey's incessant babbling. Further, you followed him through the various finalist's comment pages and egged on his craziness. This said, if Joey was more mature, he would not have responded when he saw your irrational irritation. You are, in fact, more to blame for the bad feelings across the contestant's comments than was Joey.
You, my dear, need to go back to all the comments and examine yourself. You owe, Sawyer, AJ, Mikki, Scott, Shawnecee, and JOEY all apologies for your over zealousness! Your written words have been truly shameful and it's time to put your outrageous behavior to an end.
